My second full length collection, Pearl & Bone, launched this autumn, and honestly, this book is really special to me.

I was worried that becoming a mother would zap my creative energy, that I’d have no time to write and no inspiration. I couldn’t have been more wrong – the last few years have been a whirlwind of joy, stress, laughter, love, tears, and thankfully, poetry.

It’s a collection that leaves me exposed and vulnerable, but all the more powerful for it.

The book was launched at Waterstones in Aberystwyth, on a rainy Tuesday evening. I’m so grateful to every person that came! It was lovely to see some familiar faces, especially those of some of my talented students!

This was the first of several events I have planned where I’ll be reading from this book. I’ll also be appearing in Aberaeron, Swansea, Cardiff and Cardigan soon. Keep an eye on my Twitter feed for more information on events and festivals.
