Through workshops and group discussions, this course will explore the various ways in which feminism can be translated to creative writing and literature. We will uncover elements of feminism in works by writers such as Zoë Brigley, Fiona Benson, Angela Carter and Amber Sparks amongst others. During this course, we will embolden the women of fairy tale, myth, history and our own lives and discuss what feminism means to us as writers. Writers of poetry, prose, memoir and more are all welcome.
“The class has given me the confidence to start writing and the confidence to carry on writing.”
— Rhiannon Morgan, workshop attendee
“I am particularly struck by the musicality of Salacia, where the poems chime and echo with the enchantment of spells.”
— Zoë Brigley
