Writing for Wellness at MIND Aberystwyth
MIND Aberystwyth, The Cambria
Beginning in October
Creative writing has always been an effective way for me to navigate life and process my own difficulties and experiences. I’ve written extensively on mental health, most recently in Salacia, (Parthian, shortlisted for Wales Book of the Year 2019), and am excited to be a part of extending that opportunity to others who may not currently be equipped to, or confident in, utilising literature as a tool for mental wellbeing.
A series of creative writing workshops with award-winning poet Mari Ellis Dunning, which will facilitate experimentation with poetry, short stories and creative non-fiction in an inclusive environment. Together we will engage with various form of writing, with an aim to foster positive mental wellbeing and develop coping strategies through writing.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned writer, come along and be inspired!
These workshops will run on every second Thursday of the month (unless otherwise stated), beginning on October 10th from 1-3.
Call 01970 626225 or email info@mindaberystwyth.org to book a place.
This course is run in association with Literature Wales.
