All My Dark Daughters: Mythological Women, Real Voices
@ Swansea Fringe Festival
Cinema & Co
October 6th 2-3pm
In October, Natalie Ann Holborrow and I will be reading new work from our collaborative poetry project ‘All My Dark Daughters’, which revisits and retells the stories of various female figures from myth, legend and fairy tales.
From Rapunzel pacing her tower fishing for dumb casanovas, to Hecuba mourning the loss of her infant son, the ‘despised little omen’ Paris, expect an afternoon of myth and magic through the medium of poetry, as we seek to reclaim these dark daughters and give them real voices.
The event is part of Swansea Fringe Festival and will be the first time we’re sharing some of our new pieces. See you there! x
