13. Siamese Metaphors

Siamese Metaphors

I’m a riddle in nine syllables,
A spider, a human centipede,
A doppelganger, uncanny girls,
All limbs, no self, no time on my own;
This sister’s sick with indignation,
Joint at the hip quite literally;
I’m a half, a fraction – a double,
I’m a life-support machine for her,
And she is my own ticking time bomb.
